As you can read from all of my blog posts over the last year, I was expecting the worst when it came to having twins. Once I had them I was so shocked that they were such well behaved babies, they never cried, they never fussed, and they simply just enjoyed watching people. I thought to myself, THANK GOD, I am so lucky and blessed to have such well behaved and patient little ones...
Well that has all changed. These girls are obviously getting comfortable in their skin, and are getting really comfortable with the idea that they can demand something and it happens. The last week and a half with these girls has been nothing but non-stop screaming, ALL FREAKIN DAY! They scream at their Auntie Kristen all day, who watches them for us. They scream at me on the car ride home. We get home, get unloaded, and they start screaming for dinner. I sit them down and start to feed them and they start to scream that I am not doing it fast enough. We finsih eating and they scream to get down, they get down, and then scream for a bottle. And as if that wasn't enough, they wake up in the middle of the night and scream because they don't want to be in bed. Needless to say, my patience is worn thin, and I am about to pop, sooooo... The girls are getting really familar with the cry it out method.
I pray that this is just a teething phase that we have to get through, and isn't their true personalities. Shyann LITERALLY screams loud enough to clear out our whole house, and I am not sure how many more nights I can take it withougt mentally breaking.
On a milestones note, both the girls offically started sitting up this weekend. One step closer to personal independance for them.... THANK YOU LORD. Not that I don't love carrying around my little munchkins, and I also know I will regret the day when they start to walk, let alone run, but never the less, it is great that they are getting closer to controlling themselves. It could only be better if it didn't come with the hard core, getting down to business, I am totally serious mom, screaming!
Love you all, thats it for now! XOXOXO

Oh Christmas time, How I love you!
I am so incredibly sad to see this Christmas come and go. It was the first Christmas that Ty actually grasped the idea of Santa, which made it super exciting for Ricky and I. We had such a fun time setting up the trees, sitting in the lights, and just enjoying that we got 2 weeks off to spend together. Even Ricky who is typically Grinch like over the holiday's said to me over this last weekend, that this was one of the best Christmas's for him too! We are so blessed in our family, and I can't emphasis that enough. We have three BEAUTIFUL children, we are lucky to not have huge struggles with money like some people are having to in these unfortunate times, and we have all of our extended family around us too.
Some updates:
Ricky is doing great, happy and really starting to find the greatness in his family life. He got lots of chores done around the house while on vacation, like installing new lights, and getting the prius working again. Ricky got a guitar from his son for xmas too. He really enjoys spending time with his little man, and laughed and smiled a ton this holiday. It was so refreshing to see his smile more often than not this last two weeks.
Ty is doing amazingly well. For being stuck at home with his parents for two weeks, he wasn't too bad at all. Sassy as always but not more than usual, and the child can always find a way to entertain himself. Santa brought Ty a big boy bed, and all the bedding he needed decked out in Cars. Mommy and Daddy got him his lightening mcqueen car and many other gifts of course, Tati bought him his first two wheel bike for at home, and Nonny and Pops got him an airplane car. The kid made out like a bandit, getting everything he wanted and more.
Savanna is doing well also. She is definitely a miniature Ty and spent most of her vacation rolling around on the floor, stealing binkies and toys from her sister, and enjoying some much needed quality time with her daddy. Santa brought her a cool learning toy and a special animal book.
Shy is also doing well, and officially started rolling over full board last week. She is so easy going, that when her sister steals her stuff, she doesn't even cry, she just rolls right on over to the next toy and keeps on playing. She of course got a learning toy and book too from Santa. The girl is just a trooper. Sleeps like a trooper too. She will take sleep completely through the night without waking and will still take 3-4 hour naps during the day. Savi on the other hand, many wake ups and shorter naps, but what can you do?
I am doing well of course, since all of my family is doing well. That is all I could ever ask for. My adorable son and husband bought me a pretty necklace that says mom on it. It almost made me cry when I opened it. I love it.
Lady and Kenzie are doing good. Lazy dogs, that enjoyed having family home with them.
Love you all!!

Day of frustration
Last night started off so well, with all kids being in bed by 8 o'clock, which was much needed as I literally didn't get to sit down and do something for myself for more then 5 minutes all day between dishes, washing clothes, food shopping and caring for kids.
9 o'clock pm is when I started to notice the night wasn't going to go well as originally predicted.
9pm Shyann starts crying on and off, pretty much every hour all night long. Ty wakes up at 3am and has had an accident in bed. In between the wake ups with Shyann and the accident with Ty, I get to listen to my husband snoring so loud he could wake a def person because his poor little nose is stuffed up. By about 4am I come to terms with the fact that I am only going to get 2 hours of sleep. I lay in bed for another hour. Right when I am about to get out of bed Ricky gets out of bed and decides to jump in the shower. Keep in mind Ricky never takes showers in the morning, and I take one every day at 5:15. At 5:20 I go in and ruffle Ricky letting him know I am going to be late if he doesn't get out soon. He gets out right away and I jump in the shower. Ohh, look at that, Ricky used all the hot water so I get to rush through my shower. Within 5 minutes I am in freezing cold water. I get out of the shower, go downstairs to get my pants, and fall down the stairs, likely because of lack of sleep. Finally I get dressed and wake up Ty. He is getting big now so he picks out his own clothes and starts to get dressed. I go in to wake up the girls. Shyann is soaking wet when I pick her up, once I get the diaper stripped off she is howling bright red and covered in poop. Apparently that is what was wrong with her last night and I just couldn't smell it. Gold star award for Brittnie in the mom department.
Finally I get Shyann cleaned up, and because I was distracted, I now find a again naked Ty jumping on his bed with 3-4 outfits laying on the floor. Urrrgggghhhh.... Get him dressed, get his clothes hung back up and out the door we go. We creep into the office at a snails pace because of ice, and it takes us 3 times as long to get in because people still don't know how to drive on ice here in Washington. Ty drops his blanket and I can't reach it to give it back to him, so his world ends....
Finally we get to his daycare, drop him off, and I head into the office to face a day where I am inevitably way behind because of the start to the day and the fact that I didn't get 2 spare minutes on Sunday to catch up on work....
Today is just one of those days I would have liked to have never gotten out of bed!! Ok, enough of my pity party, back to the already behind day, that I am just delaying further, but I just had to take a couple minutes to get that off my chest.
Love you all!
