I am so incredibly sad to see this Christmas come and go. It was the first Christmas that Ty actually grasped the idea of Santa, which made it super exciting for Ricky and I. We had such a fun time setting up the trees, sitting in the lights, and just enjoying that we got 2 weeks off to spend together. Even Ricky who is typically Grinch like over the holiday's said to me over this last weekend, that this was one of the best Christmas's for him too! We are so blessed in our family, and I can't emphasis that enough. We have three BEAUTIFUL children, we are lucky to not have huge struggles with money like some people are having to in these unfortunate times, and we have all of our extended family around us too.
Some updates:
Ricky is doing great, happy and really starting to find the greatness in his family life. He got lots of chores done around the house while on vacation, like installing new lights, and getting the prius working again. Ricky got a guitar from his son for xmas too. He really enjoys spending time with his little man, and laughed and smiled a ton this holiday. It was so refreshing to see his smile more often than not this last two weeks.
Ty is doing amazingly well. For being stuck at home with his parents for two weeks, he wasn't too bad at all. Sassy as always but not more than usual, and the child can always find a way to entertain himself. Santa brought Ty a big boy bed, and all the bedding he needed decked out in Cars. Mommy and Daddy got him his lightening mcqueen car and many other gifts of course, Tati bought him his first two wheel bike for at home, and Nonny and Pops got him an airplane car. The kid made out like a bandit, getting everything he wanted and more.
Savanna is doing well also. She is definitely a miniature Ty and spent most of her vacation rolling around on the floor, stealing binkies and toys from her sister, and enjoying some much needed quality time with her daddy. Santa brought her a cool learning toy and a special animal book.
Shy is also doing well, and officially started rolling over full board last week. She is so easy going, that when her sister steals her stuff, she doesn't even cry, she just rolls right on over to the next toy and keeps on playing. She of course got a learning toy and book too from Santa. The girl is just a trooper. Sleeps like a trooper too. She will take sleep completely through the night without waking and will still take 3-4 hour naps during the day. Savi on the other hand, many wake ups and shorter naps, but what can you do?
I am doing well of course, since all of my family is doing well. That is all I could ever ask for. My adorable son and husband bought me a pretty necklace that says mom on it. It almost made me cry when I opened it. I love it.
Lady and Kenzie are doing good. Lazy dogs, that enjoyed having family home with them.
Love you all!!
Brie and Fam
