Well apparently while I was on maternity leave, I was incapable of keeping up to date on this blog, but hey, if anyone is surprised by that, well then they didn't see me while I was on leave to notice just how wrecked I was ;0)
I am officially back at work, and have been for a week now. No lies, it is TOUGH. None of the kids are sleeping through the night, and I think they are all pissed that I am back at work, as they are sleeping worse than they did when I was on leave, well towards the end of the leave. I have returned to work as a full fledged feature program manager. This is super exciting for me, as this is where I have wanted to be since I started in my new direction at MS. I am so thankful for this wonderful company that allows me to do such great things without an official degree. I am a firm believer though that you get more out of me with on the job training then you would have if I had gone to college. I am just not a book smart person, I am more of a people person who learns by living the life day to day. Enough about me, let's get to what is really important....
Ricky, well he is doing well. I think having two more kids in the house is completely stressing him out, but he is managing. We just have to make it to that year mark, and I know things will get easier for him. For now he is still working, but it does look like things may be slowing down for him at work. Let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best, as there is no way we can afford day care with him on un-employment.
Ty, as always, is doing well. He is a terror, but such a smart terror, so makes it interesting to watch. I know this kid is smarter than I am, and that is scary. How do you control or help raise a child that is smarter than you are at 2 years old? Good thing he doesn't know he is smarter than me yet ;0). Ty is talking so well lately that he can hold a full fledged conversation with me now a days. Speaking clear as a warm summer day!! He is also probably the best big brother I have ever met in my life. He loves on those girls all the time, so much so that he accidentally tries to smoother them occasionally with all the kisses and hugs he gives those girls. Whenever I take the girls into daycare to pick him up, he is so protective. Won't let any of the kids near them, and if they reach out to touch them, Ty is right there to smack them away and say "THOSE ARE MY BABY SISTERS!!" I know I shouldn't encourage such behavior, but I am not going to tell him not to protect his sisters, they need him, and god knows dad and I need him to help protect them as well. I don't know what I would do with out such a helpful, happy, wonderful big brother around to help me!!
The girls are doing great. Just went in for their 4 month check up this last Friday. They are are in the 40% range for height and weight (up from the 1% and 2% they were at when they were born). Their heads on the other hands are in the 96% range. HOLY COW, huge heads for those huge brains they have :)
Savanna is rolling over like crazy, you can't keep that girl contained. Shyann is laughing a ton. They each have their own milestones they want to get to first, you can't get away with trying to lump those girls together as one person. They are for sure their own individuals. Both of them are grabbing things like it is going out of style too, of course with big huge grins on their beautiful doll like faces.
Though my kids love to test me to see how little sleep I can function off of, I thank the lord for them every day! I also have to thank Ricky for baring through. I have been a beast to deal with lately since I get so little sleep. Since I am the one always getting up with the kids at night though, I think it is only fair he have to deal with my beast likeness during the day :)
Thank god for my family, I am a truly blessed soul, even if I lose sight of that on some sleep tortured days!
Some new pictures to come soon. Shelia and Chantel are going to shoot some for us!! Thanks ladies!
